1. Assist Manager in the recruitment and selection of new designers, sales people and support staff.

3. Evaluate performance of staff against established standards. Provide effective counsel to improve performance and ensure growth.

6. Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with design staff and sales people to monitor and, if necessary, improve performance.

8. Ensure staff is in compliance with company policies and procedures.

9. Be informed on the changing trends and new developments of the home furnishings industry.

10. Assist Manager in developing marketing recommendations to increase sales and market share by monitoring traffic, advertising and customer feedback.

11.Act as back up on the store manager’s days off. Share responsibility for opening and closing the store.
